Stumbled upon this Corvette show on the way home from Redondo Beach.
While there were tons of cool cars there, I had one complaint: The mentality. It seemed everyone at the show had the “lawn chair” mentality. By that, I mean the type of person who comes to a car show with a lawn chair and park themselves after they park their cars. So many of these people just wait for someone else to come up and compliment/initiate a conversation with them. They don’t go out and see any of the other cars, nor talk to anyone else at the show other than the people who talk to them about their cars. I feel like you miss out on so much of the car show experience by doing that.
Dat TBSS! Two white Chevys which are SOOOOO different.
Corvette generations!
Those meats. So wide. Plus the headers into side pipes
See the sea of stock C5s
This. It had a cage tied into the bed too.
Those headlight covers are awesome
And I love the yellow tint. That and the patna make it perfect.
Such a mean look with that hood.
Chevy SS with a Holden conversion. And a supercharger.
And carbon everywhere.
A fuelie!
This 96 C4 was pretty much my ideal C4. In a relatively discreet color, 6-speed stick, gorgeous tan interior and just well taken care of!
Those doors are....something. It had some form of chrome covers for nearly everything in the engine bay too.
I love seeing a soft top C2 with a hard top. The notchback look just works so well.
Cheesegrater included in price.
See the C5 on the left? Bone stock convertible. The guy brought a mat which took up the entire parking spot and (you guessed it) a lawn chair. I understand pride in ownership, but that’s taking it a bit too far.
A beautiful Malibu with some more modern upgrades, such as the BBK.
I could never get over this. C5 with a C1 front and rear end. It was soooo wide too. Just.....weird.
This was truly something else.
Oh yes. So much yes. All the chrome outside of the engine bay was blacked out.
Z06s on Z06s
This thing was spectacular looking.
It looks like someone put mud grabbers on a C4 with that stance/tire size.
If I could take anything home from the show, I think this would be it. It was immaculate.

Spotted this coming in as I left

The only FWD car I’ve ever wanted. You can have the El Camino, I want the Toronado.

Every car should come with American Racing Torque Thrust Ds as standard.

Thanks for posting this. I really love that 68 or 69 at the top of the post, and the ‘96 C4 with the manual, and that 68 or 69 SS396 El Camino. All great cars. Thanks for sharing them.

I probably wouldn’t have given it a second look if it didn’t have the hood scoop.

Nope, looks like standard TPI Ports. A ZR1 LT5 would look like this:

Cool photos! I love the Fathom Green ‘69 ‘Vette in the first pic. I really don’t see too many left with that color.
